The famous Cheltenham roar awaits on Day one of The Festival™. As the tapes rise for the opening race, Horsemen and racegoers alike rejoice as the 12-month wait is over and racing's favourite fixture is back.
The first day of The Festival™ features the most important hurdle race of the season, the Stan James Champion Hurdle. In 2017, Nicky Henderson's Buveur D'Air took the honours and began Noel Fehily's most successful festival to date. Champion's Day also features the ever-competitive OLBG Mares’ Hurdle Race and The Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle.
Day One of The Festival™ is full of nerves and anticipation as the greatest week in racing begins, and the famous roar can finally be released.
The first day of The Festival™ treats racegoers to music from Taylor and the Mason, The Hipcats as well as The Wickermen.
