Nothing matches the experience of having a runner at Cheltenham, particularly at The Festival. Our dedicated staff ensure that owners' visits run smoothly, from the distribution of badges, through lunch, to the presentation of trophies.
At the six day confirmation stage, we shall send you the following, if you reside on the mainland:
- Two car park labels
- Four admission tickets and Owners’ & Trainers’ badges. Syndicates and Partnerships with a declared runner can arrange an additional two badges/tickets.
All additional Owners’ & Trainers’ badge requests or any other queries should be made in advance of the meeting by contacting Victoria Bowen-Jones on 00 44 (0)1242 537602 or by e-mailing Victoria Bowen-Jones. Please do contact Victoria should you have any questions in regards to running a horse at Cheltenham.
We will not despatch tickets and badges to Owners with non UK Mainland addresses . Their tickets and badges will be ready for collection at the racecourse on the day of racing at the Owners and Trainers desk at the Hall of Fame entrance.
Infomation about badges for The Festival 2015 will be avaliable on this page in January.
Owners & Trainers Private Lunch Facility
For each declared runner Owners are offered the opportunity to book four complimentary lunches, Trainers two, including afternoon tea in an exclusive marquee which is situated beside the Pre Parade Ring. This marquee has televisions and a betting facility. A booking form will be enclosed with the tickets and badges you receive once your horse has been entered.
This year we are extending our complimentary lunch offer to Owners and Trainers with runners to include The Festival. Those with declared runners will be able to enjoy four complimentary buffet lunches, trainers two, in a marquee near The Parade Ring, replacing the Lawn Bar for those with runners on the day. Those with access will have use of this facility for the day but in order to accommodate everyone who wishes to take up the lunch offer it may not be possible to have use of a table for the day. Access to this facility will be by a wristband which will be issued at the reception desk
There is another facility for Owners’ & Trainers’ with runners on the day, who would like a less formal food offering. Due to the ongoing Development works, where it will be situated will be confirmed in the pre-race meeeting entry letters. It will have a cash bar, betting facilities and a controllable video recorder. Tea and coffee are complimentary.
We ensure a balanced programme of races leading up to The Festival, giving owners the chance to run horses of all levels of experience here at Cheltenham. Their input is invaluable when we put together our programme for the season. We also operate a Frequent Runner Championship, rewarding trainers who run their horses most often at Cheltenham . Race conditions for the 2014/15 season can be found by clicking here.
Jockeys are extraordinarily fit athletes and we ensure that their raceday needs are met with a dedicated medical team (including a physiotherapist) and areas to rest before, between and after racing, with a range of nutritionally balanced food and drink.
